Overview braided glass fiber sleevings
Braided sleeving, Aramid, Basalt
Available in a wide variety of designs ( sleeving, tape, strings) and different base materials, like polyester (cheap and reliable) pure glass fiber (very high temperature resistance), or Aramid, with its high tensile strength, and high resistance to cuts. As cable protection against high temperatures or simply for cable bundling. Insulating sleeves with integrated fabric reinforcement can be found under insulating sleeves.
Coated fiberglass sleeving
Coated glass fiber sleevings offer a closed and smooth surface. These hoses are waterproof, mechanically very resistant and can have various properties, depending on the coating. Double coating or expandable variants are also available.
Impregnated fiberglass sleeving
The glass fiber braids are impregnated with various liquified coating, the base structure remains visible, the sleeving remains in round shape. Impregnation helps to prevent fraying when cutting, keeps the sleeving very flexible and can even be expanded within certain limits. High strength is combined with flexibility and electrical insulation.
