Fiberglass sleeves - Glass braided sleeving, impregnated

Fiberglass Sleeves

Impregnated glass fiber hoses have an unbeatable advantage: they do not fray at the cut edges as raw hoses do. Yet the typical high flexibility of glass fiber braids is preserved.
Depending on the impregnation, the properties of the protective sleeve can be adjusted to an exceptionally large extent. Typically, the glass fiber tubes are impregnated with alchydic, or with an acrylic varnish. It can also be impregnated with silicone. The outcome is always the same: the glass braid becomes more stable, this is very helpful when inserting cables or wires.
Different impregnations lead to different operating temperatures, and resistance to mechanical or chemical environmental conditions.
Impregnated glass fiber hoses are often processed automatically in serial production, because of their higher stability, and automatic processability is the basis for a reliable and safe process environment when using cutting machines and automatic feeders.
